Travelers will be picked up from Kotoka International Airport and check into the hotel in Accra. During the welcome dinner, you will get your first taste of Ghana with authentic local dishes and there will be a formal presentation of the itinerary.

DAY 1 - Akwaaba To Ghana!!!

DAY 2 - ACCRA CITY TOUR
Learn about Accra and the rich history of Ghana.
On this day, you will explore the best of Accra. Our city tour will take you to the famous landmarks of Independence Square, W.E.B. Du-Bois National Museum Center and Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum. We will learn the history of this beautiful country and its relationship with famous Pan- Africanists.
You will have lunch and then proceed to the Osu walking tour. After visiting Osu, you will go back to the hotel to relax and enjoy our night life at the Afrikiko restaurant.
Day 3 - Free Day
We know you’re tired from the flight and potential jet lag- so you can use this day to rest, shop, get hair braided, go to the beach or take advantage of the hotel pool.
Day 4 - VISIT KUMASI
We will have breakfast in the morning and begin our long journey from Cape Coast to Kumasi.
Day 5 - Ntonso Adinkra Village
We will begin the day at the Ntonso Adinkra village. Ntonso is the homeland of adinkra cloth and where traditional adinkra symbols are created locally. Adinkra’s are famed for the proverbial wisdom of the symbols. Ntonso is Ghana’s largest producer of adinkra. You will meet the descendants of the creator of all adinkra symbols and learn the meaning, as well as have the opportunity to make your own custom adinkra cloth. During the tour, you will see the stages of producing adinkra cloth, which include the dye preparation and adinkra stamping.
Next we will journey to the Bonwire Kente weaving village where the original Kente is made from scratch. Kente is a traditional Ghanaian fabric that is colorful and worn during important celebrations/occasions. We will learn and witness how this traditional fabric is made, as well as shop at the Bonwire Kente market.

Day 6 - Journey to Assin Manso and Cape Coast Slave Castle
Ancestral Connection
Today is your official return home to Ghana and we'll celebrate with a transformative visit to Assin Manso Slave river and Cape Coast Slave Castle Dungeon. Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Park was one of the largest slave markets that sold enslaved Africans into slavery during the infamous trans-Atlantic slave trade.
At the Assin Manso Slave river site, you will have your Ancestral bath. The Ancestral bath is a ceremony that encourages Blacks in the diaspora to honor and reconnect with their ancestors who died during the Transatlantic Slave Trade through connecting and meditating in the Assin Manso Slave river. This river is also known as the Nnonkonsuo or Donkor Nsuo. The Assin Manso Slave river is known as the final link in the slavery route from Northern Ghana, because it served as the place where our ancestors had their last bath on the journey to the middle passage. It was the largest slave market for merchants supplying enslaved Africans to the slave forts and castle dungeons.

We will now visit the Cape Coast Slave Dungeon where we will walk through the "Door Of No Return," along the same path our ancestors did during their last moments on the coast of West Africa. You will get to experience the Journey of Return ceremony in Cape Coast Castle dungeon. The Journey of Return Ceremony is organized as a program for Blacks in the diaspora to reconnect with their ancestral heritages by lighting candles and meditating in theCape Coast Castle dungeons to reconnect with their ancestors who died during the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
This part of the trip will be powerful and emotional for many. Our expert guide will show you around the castles sharing touching stories of our ancestral past. After the tour, we'll have time to reflect over an oceanside lunch.
Day 7 - Visit Elmina Castle and Kakum National Park.
On this day we will visit the Elmina Slave Castle, which is the oldest and the largest slave castle dungeon in West Africa. The Elmina Slave Castle was built by the Portuguese in 1482. We will learn about the Male slave dungeon and Female Slave dungeon, and see this infamous ‘Door Of No Return’.
KAKUM NATIONAL PARK
Welcome to Ghana’s most visited attraction for an amazing adventure. Today we are going to embark on a fascinating adventure. The park’s best-known feature is the 7 suspension bridges which form a 333-meter long canopy walkway that is suspended 27 meters above the forest
from trees.

Day 8 - Visit to a local school at Cape Coast and traditional naming ceremony
Black Energy Never Dies and our BEND Global Foundation is rooted in giving back to those in need, so it’s very important that we take the time to make a donation to the locals. Your donation can simply be the time you spend there, or feel free to bring clothes and/or books for the school children.
We will meet with the Chiefs from the community and go through the process of traditional naming. You will give us your date of birth to receive your official Ghanaian name and recognition certificate.
Day 9 - Accra Arts Center and Labadi Beach.
Visit Accra Arts Center for drumming lessons and shopping at the artisanal market local shops. We connected with Ghanaian culture, people, and heritage all week long- so it's time to buy some souvenirs from the local market for your friends and family back home.
We will then have lunch at Labadi Beach Resort, where you can have horseback riding experiences and enjoy the beautiful beach.
Day 10 - Airport Departure
It’s so hard to say goodbye! This will be our last day in the country. Handle any last minute things and ensure all your bags are packed. We will head to the airport for your flight to the USA.
